Cash on delivery form for WooCommerce in the UAE

Most online buying in the United Arab Emirates is still paid at the door, and the standard WooCommerce checkout was not built for that. This replaces it with one form on the product page: name, phone, city, address, order.

The cities are already in it

You do not type Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Al Ain and Fujairah and the rest by hand. The plugin ships a ready-made list for the UAE — 12 cities, each carrying both its Latin and its Arabic name — so the shopper reads whichever their form is set to and your export always stores the other.

A delivery price per city

Delivery in the UAE rarely costs the same everywhere, and quoting one flat fee either loses you money on the far ones or loses you the order on the near ones. Set a rate per city or per region, or name two options — inside the big city and outside it — with a note under each saying how long it takes. The total updates in AED as the shopper picks.

Fewer refused deliveries

Cash on delivery only pays when the parcel is accepted, so an order nobody intended to take costs you the courier both ways. Blocklists for phone numbers, IP addresses and words, rate limits per number and per IP, and duplicate detection all run before the order is written — and the dashboard counts what they stopped.

In Arabic, properly

The form is written in Arabic, French and English inside the plugin, not bolted on as translation files. The whole layout flips to right-to-left, including the phone and number fields that browsers otherwise force the other way, and every word can be rewritten per language from the admin.

Questions from sellers in the UAE

Does it price delivery per city in the UAE?

Yes. A rate table by city or by region, named options the shopper chooses between, WooCommerce's own shipping zones, or one flat fee — whichever matches how your courier actually charges you. The total is recalculated on your server in AED before the order is written.

Do I have to type in the city list?

No. the UAE's cities ship with the plugin, each with its Arabic name, and you can edit, reorder or delete any of them.

Will the customer need an account?

No. There is no cart, no login and no checkout page — the form writes the order straight into WooCommerce, marked cash on delivery.
